grew up in Northern California's Bay Area where her father, Paul Sheppard, has pastored for over twenty years. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles where she attended the University of Southern California. While there, she and four friends co-founded Anointed Vessels of Praise dance ministry as well as a Christian women's fellowship group called Sisters in Spirit. Alicia graduated from USC in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology.

Although her plan was to then apply to law school, God redirected her steps. After graduation, she relocated to Phoenix, AZ and authored a non-fiction book titled Dethroning the Queen: Getting Rid of Rivalry & Resentment which was published in 2008 by VMI Publishers. Soon after, Alicia began accepting speaking engagements and leading workshops centered around the theme of her book. She also ministered through spoken word poetry.
While in Phoenix, Alicia also volunteered with various ministry programs including Elevate International where she worked with a program called Inward that mentors young women. She also entered into a graduate program. In late 2014, Alicia graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Christian Leadership. Alicia has since relocated back to Northern California and works for her father's radio broadcast ministry, Destined for Victory.

Now that she is finished with graduate school, Alicia is glad to devote more time back to using her gifts to glorify God and bless others. She particularly enjoys conveying the truth of God's word in a fun and authentic way that her generation can relate to. And when not working, Alicia's favorite pastime is taking dance classes, especially hip hop, at local studios.
